About Infrastructure Assurance
Infrastructure Assurance (Pulse) runs active tests against your SIP infrastructure—PBXs, SBCs, and trunks—using real-world scenarios. It helps you detect failures and quality issues before users notice, with full packet-level visibility and configurable check intervals.
Scenario Types
- OPTIONS (Availability): Lightweight health checks to verify endpoints are reachable and responding to SIP.
- Registration: Continuous trunk or extension authentication; alerts when registration fails or expires.
- INVITE (Test Call): Full call setup and teardown with RTP metrics (MoS, jitter, packet loss) collected on every test call and visible in result detail.
How It Works
- Add endpoints with credentials and scenario type; Pulse runs checks on your schedule.
- Results show success/failure, response codes, RTP metrics for Test Call checks, and optional packet capture for debugging.
Proactive monitoring: By running active assurance across your SIP infrastructure, you can catch configuration changes, network issues, and carrier problems before they impact users. Track trends over time from the dashboard and endpoint details.
